Type It into the scene 2

  1. The goal of this project was to create 3 examples of integrating typography into an existing photographic scene. You had to create the illusion that the type is a 3D element in the scene by using different techniques in Adobe Photoshop.

I chose to incorporate text in front of the empire state building. I picked this scene because I wanted to try making the text flow with how the camera angle is looking up.

What I did was picked a font and gave it a random color which turned out blue and rasterized the type. Then I went under blending options and gave it some blue gradient, a drop shadow. and a bevel.
After this I went under Edit - transform - perspective and modified it so that the side of the text lined up with the edge of the building to make it look like the text is hovering over the front of the building . Final step I did was changed the size of the text by decreasing it as it went up to give it that 3d look.
